Good price for a 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited AWD?

Looking at a 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited AWD. Got a quote from the dealer at $54K with some extra packages included.

MSRP: $50K
Packages: panoramic view monitor, cross bars, connectivity kit, premium carpet, illuminated door sills, vehicle protection package, rear bumper protector, running boards, rear cargo organizer—adds up to about $3350.

Dealer-installed extras: $1500

Fees: delivery and doc fees add around $2K. Dealer initially quoted me $58K, but willing to go down to $54K. Worth it?

I got my 2024 Hybrid Platinum OTD for $60K.

Nice, sounds like a good deal with how the market is right now.

Where are you located, and when did you get this deal? I’m looking for a Limited or Platinum and could wait a bit, but with these interest rates, I’m thinking sooner might be better.

@Ophelia
Got it at Toyota Cedar Park near Austin, drove down from Houston. They’re the #2 Toyota dealer in the USA. They got me my Cypress Green/Caramel combo Hybrid in 6 months, no markups, no warranty pressure. Highly recommend! I worked with Khang for updates and Keenen for the sale. I think being a high-volume dealer helps them with Toyota orders.

I bought a 2022 Hybrid Highlander Limited for $53K OTD about 2.5 years ago. That was at MSRP and hadn’t even hit the dealer yet.

I doubt prices are going much lower than that.

Thanks for the heads up.

Can you get rid of the protection package? Sounds like extra warranty or a spray. And maybe the connectivity kit—is that a subscription thing?

But $54K sounds fair. For Hybrids, especially Limited or Platinum, below MSRP isn’t easy to find.

With everything, it was originally $58.5K, but they brought it down to $54K with discounts.

Even with some unnecessary add-ons (those packages can be overpriced), it sounds like a fair deal. Once you subtract the fees everyone has to pay, it’s closer to $51-52K, which is below MSRP. My area still has markups, so that’s pretty solid.

@CarLoverDave1
Yeah, that’s the only reason I’m considering it. Other dealers just said ‘take it or leave it.’ My current car has hail damage, and I don’t want to fix it since I’ll need a larger SUV or minivan in a few years anyway. With the dealer packages (even if some are just fluff), they’re at least willing to negotiate.

Honestly, I’d say grab it.

He really knocked $4K off the total? I feel like just getting MSRP is a win these days.

It’s not really MSRP since he’s giving a discount for all the extras.

I’d say around $57K for a Limited Hybrid sounds reasonable.

Not bad at all. I got an offer for a 2024 Highlander Hybrid XLE Nightshade at $50K in Ohio.

Picked up my Hybrid Limited Platinum 2024 for $62K here in Canada.

That’s about MSRP for you then?

A good deal would be MSRP (sticker price) plus tax, title, license, and doc fee as your OTD (out-the-door) price. That means no extra dealer add-ons or random packages except for those from the factory or port-installed options.

If you get it for below MSRP before taxes and fees, that’s an even better deal. Just watch out for unnecessary add-ons from the dealer.

Under $50K would be ideal.
