just picked up a 2025 forester limited for $34,750… msrp was $40,588, so almost 15% off. this was in the saint louis, missouri area. anyone else getting good deals lately?
msrp for a limited is over 40k now? that’s wild.

yeah, that’s just how it is now. base models are around 32k, and even the crosstrek limiteds are over 30k new.
got a sport and managed to get over 3k off msrp. plus, they gave me 2k over my trade-in value, so it worked out. got 4.9 apr for 72 months, but had to spend way too much time negotiating lol.
if you’re looking to buy, now might be a good time. sales seem slow, and with the tariffs coming, prices are gonna go up.
great deal
what options did it come with? what was your final price after everything?
looking to buy after wrecking my 2011 legacy.

had the $1600 package with nav, reverse braking, and harmon kardon stereo. plus about $1400 in extras like a cargo mat, all-weather floor mats, dimming mirrors, etc. otd was 34,750 plus a $500 admin fee, then tax/title/license.
nice deal… any tips? did you finance through subaru?

just emailed all the dealerships nearby and asked for their best price. took the lowest offer and checked if others would beat it. way easier than dealing with them in person. i think they stocked up too much because of tariff concerns and are trying to clear them out.
@Lily
solid approach. once you get a better offer, do you keep going back and forth or stop after one round? did you take their financing?

we went with the 4.9% and put about 20% down.
i went back and forth a bit, but once a dealer told me they couldn’t match the price, i figured i wasn’t leaving much on the table. kinda funny because i live right next to one of the dealers and wanted to buy from them, but they wouldn’t match the deal, so no sale.
@Lily
did the same thing and got a limited with eyesight for $35k out the door.
nice pickup.
great deal… but what’s that mat you’re parked on?
that’s a solid price. should’ve posted more pics. this is tempting me lol. got an 18/50th and just waiting on it to go up in value.
picked up a ‘25 touring with a bunch of extras for $39,832.
