Still hanging on to my beloved 2010 IS350C (can’t let her go!), but I recently added the RZ450e to the mix — and wow, what a stunner. Sure, the range isn’t setting any records, and I had a touch of buyer’s remorse at first… but honestly? This car is gorgeous inside and out.
The best part? I haven’t even needed the full range for my daily driving. Charging once a week is more than enough. I’ve been using a Level 2 charger in my apartment garage — just a $2 session fee — and outside of that? It’s dirt cheap to keep it powered up. I even uploaded a screenshot so you can see what I mean.
As for the driving experience? Chef’s kiss. It glides effortlessly. No complaints at all — especially when I compare it to the IS350C’s staggered wheels (which I still adore, but let’s be real, the RZ is in another league).
At this point, I’m genuinely happy with the choice. And apparently, I scored a killer lease deal — everyone keeps saying so. No regrets here..
I thought about one of these on a lease but I often make long road trips to visit family. I’m hoping that in the next three years they will charge faster and have a longer range. But it’s beautiful (and my RX350h is too!)!

Had a '23 450e for a year. The ride was great, but the range is a huge drawback and pretty much never hit the rated range. In the winter, it got down to 100 miles of range on a full charge. Its level 3 charging is also incredibly slow, which makes it kinda pointless for anything besides around town driving. Level 2 charging is also slow compared to any competition. Traded it in for an RX 450h, and that’s been a way better experience. Thankfully, the RZ is getting heavily refreshed for 2026 (new battery, new motors, new trims), so that should make it almost a competent EV.

It’s a compliance car. Toyota mailed it in so that they can say they sold an EV. We’d all be driving Toyota EV’s already if they thought they were viable.
I’m not sure if the steering wheel material is exclusive to the RZ, but I absolutely love the feeling. It’s like a mix of leather and suede. I hope it lasts a long time.
