Has anyone else found their LC250 came without a volume knob

It’s a bit annoying having to use the screen to adjust the volume. The steering wheel has a toggle, but it’s not as quick as a knob.
Is there a way to add one if I get an OEM knob or an aftermarket one? Where can I find one?

@AlexJordan1
Haha, yes, I love that moment of panic, thinking ‘where’s the knob?’ and then finding it right there .

@AlexJordan1
What model is this one?

It’s the Land Cruiser edition from North America. The first edition had the knob because the screen was smaller. I actually like the Australian version placement.

@AlexJordan1
Is there a difference between the NA and US versions? I thought the button was on the lower left of the screen in those versions. Now I’m wondering if I can change something on my US 1958 model.

@Casey
Mine’s from the USA. I thought NA would be the best term since Canada’s is the same. The 1958 model has a smaller screen, so the knob is in a different place. Seeing the others made me think the USA might have some silly regulation about knob placement.

I’m from the UAE and had a '13 LC200, now I’ve got an '18 LC150. I can say for sure that this is not the original OEM infotainment screen. Toyota Middle East tends to bring in lower trim models without the screens and then install them locally at their depot. So both my cars had locally fitted infotainment screens.

@Kiran
I thought the US volume knob placement was bad, but this one looks crazy! Is it hard to turn?

@Kiran
I’m still shocked some cars have an HDMI input on the main screen. Have you ever tried using it? Also, what does the idle up feature do?

Doesn’t idle up make it easier to crawl in low range?

Same here, from Kuwait. Honestly, the lack of a volume knob is my number one complaint about this car. It’s really necessary.

Weird, as others have said, in the US market it’s located between the steering wheel and the screen. I’ve literally never used mine.

@Sayer
I’m not convinced it’s OEM. The interface looks completely wrong, and the screen seems low quality. I don’t think either display option should have bezels like that. It almost seems like someone swapped the small display on the base model for an aftermarket one. It would make sense if it’s a 1958 trim.

@Mika
Faux-EM

@Mika
Yeah, that makes the most sense, because this isn’t how it should have shipped. Also, just finished with the winds, and truth be told, it’s awesome.

@Sayer
Oh no :frowning:

Nice, I have a coiled cord like that myself.
