Heated seats

I have a 2025 Limited and the seats don’t seem to get very warm. Other cars and trucks on high settings really heat up your seat. Is this common for the Highlander or Toyota?

The highest setting on my 21 XLE is too much for me after a couple of minutes.

Ugh, I feel like I’m going to have to take it to the dealership now. I hate going there.

22 here, and mine get hot too. Definitely take it to the dealer.

My 2017 Highlander Limited/Platinum heated seats worked as expected, just like the ones in my 2024 Highlander Hybrid Platinum.

I might have to go back to the dealership and have them check it out then. Thanks for letting me know.

My 2013 works great; I usually have to turn it down after a while.

2010 here. My heated seats still get downright toasty after 15 years.

I test drove a 2022 and had to turn it down after a few minutes.

That’s what several of the rentals I’ve driven have done. I wasn’t sure if this was normal for the 25.

My 2018 XLE gets warm but nowhere near as warm as my 2008’s seats used to. Not even close to the heat my husband’s Subaru puts out.

My 23 doesn’t get very warm. Be ready to be disappointed with the cooling seats; they don’t do much.

Thanks for the info. You saved me a trip to the dealership.

Are you sure you’re using heat and not cool?

Yes, both the driver and passenger seats were on full heat, and I could barely tell they were on.

I can barely tell mine are on ('23 Limited Hybrid).

Glad it’s not just me. Thanks!

Our 2020 doesn’t get nearly as hot as our Chevy truck.

My Ram gets very hot in both the seats and the steering wheel.

I have a 2023 XLE. The heated seats heat up faster than other cars I’ve owned. They get so hot that I usually need to turn them down after they warm up.

One difference from past cars is that they don’t start heating up until you sit on them. I guess it’s a safety or battery-saving feature. If you warm up the car before getting in, the seats won’t be warm until you sit on them for a few minutes, even if the warmer is switched on.
