It’s really bad right now
You’re in the wrong gear. Try ‘P’, that’s where my 17 gets the best mileage.

Noted
Slower acceleration, cruise control as much as possible, use better oil, keep your air filters clean, keep your tire pressure in check, keep your tires balanced and rotated, use highway tires.

So use 89 gas instead of 87?
@Zayne
87 is optimum for most tundra motors.

In that case I’ll go get my tires rotated tomorrow.
Do you have a lift ? Or bigger tires than stock ?

They should be rotated every other oil change, and balanced every other rotation. Recommend buying tires from a place that does this for free.
Air filter and tires are a small step, but acceleration is the biggest killer of mpgs.
@ToyoLeez
Every single oil change*
I do 5k because big off-road tires. Just be consistent about it.

It’s what I do. I get 50k out of my all terrains
@ToyoLeez
I tend to rotate my 2nd gen every Oil change, but I don’t usually get an oil change until 6500ish miles
@ToyoLeez
Not discount tire… 4 sets of oval tires later they’ll never see me again.
@Zayne
Where did he say anything about gas type?
