I keep getting this annoying warning message and I want to get rid of it permanently. What can I do?
My 2021 Avalon doesn’t have that issue, so I think it’s a setting in the computer.
Go to Navigation on the home screen… then Settings. Check *Warning settings, locate the speed limit warning, and you can turn it off or change how fast you need to be going for it to go off.
Just slow down.

You’re probably cruising at 78-79 mph. In the US, that’s over the limit on most interstates. That kind of speed feels so smooth in the Avalon.

There are interstates in the west where the limit is 80 mph. I’ve seen some in Texas at 85. But I agree with you, my old Avalon could easily run 90+ mph and was so quiet I could hardly feel it.
@TimothyPerez
I have a 2006 Bentley, it’s as smooth as the Avalon. Just keeps going. My daily is a 2014 Avalon, it’s the best car ever made. Perfect in every way.

They should let you go 100 on that stretch before El Paso, it’s just wide open.

On the 40, it’s so straight and empty, you can see the horizon curve. I was doing 120 mph in a 1990 Toyota Corolla once and the highway patrol let me off with a warning.
134 kilometers per hour equals 83.264 miles per hour.
I’ve reached 100 mph in my 2020 XLE Hybrid Premium and never saw that warning message.
Is this one of the last model year Avalons? If you search for “Toyota Corolla GR warranty void” you’ll find some stories about warranties getting denied for speed data. Be careful with your warranty.
I’ve never seen that on my 21 Avalon. I’ve driven it up to 110 mph without any problem.

Just ignore the screen and pay attention to your gauge instead.
This would really annoy me… does it beep or just pop up? Maybe a sticky note could help.
Avalon is meant for comfort, not speed. If you want speed, maybe think about getting a sports car.

Okay grandpa, let’s get you back to your chair.
