How do you reset the maintenance light on a Toyota Camry?

Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2018 Toyota Camry, and the maintenance light just popped up. I’ve already done the oil change, but IDK how to reset the light. Anyone know how to do this? I’m not super techy, so please keep it simple!

I got you. Turn the key to the ON position (don’t start the car). Then, hold the trip reset button until the maintenance light goes away. Super easy.

Ah, got it! So just press and hold the trip button, right? How long should I hold it?

@Roux
Yeah, hold it for about 10 seconds. You’ll see the light flash and then turn off. That’s when you know you’re good.

I had the same issue last month lol. If it doesn’t work, try turning the car completely off and then back on after resetting. That’s what worked for me.

Nice, I’ll try that if the first method doesn’t do the trick. Thanks!

FYI, this works on most Toyota models, not just the Camry. I did it on my Corolla, and it was the same process.

Good to know! Thanks for the tip!

What’s the trip reset button? I’m not sure which one that is.

It’s the little button on your dashboard that switches between the odometer and trip mileage. Should be near the speedometer.

@Quince
Ohhh okay, I know what you mean now. Thanks!

If you’re having trouble, check your car’s manual. I know, I know, no one likes to read those things, but the instructions are in there too.

LOL, I’ll check that as a last resort!
