How much are you paying for subaru insurance… is mine too high

Hey everyone, I’m doing some research on Subaru insurance costs and could use your help.

I’m collecting some info and will share the results back on this forum. If you don’t mind answering a few questions, that’d be awesome!

  1. How much do you pay per month for insurance?
  2. How old are you? Male, female, non-binary?
  3. Who’s your insurance provider?
  4. Are you on your own policy or part of a family plan?
  5. What year and model Subaru do you drive? Auto or manual?
  6. Any claims? At-fault or not?
  7. Any tickets? When and what for?
  8. Where do you live? (City/State or Country)
  9. What kind of coverage do you have? Full, liability only, deductible amounts, extras?
  10. If you have full coverage, is it because of a loan? Do you plan to switch to liability after paying it off?

Drop your details below, and I’ll compile everything into some cool stats for the forum!

Thanks for helping out!

$785 per year (not sure about monthly)

19, male

RAC

On my mom’s plan as the primary driver

2001 GT Forester, manual, with turbo upgrades, exhaust, brakes, suspension, and sound system

Got hit once but managed to get their plate number

No tickets

Full coverage

Keeping full coverage because repairs would cost way more than my deductible.

@nelly
Thanks! I can calculate monthly from annual. Is that amount in AUD or USD?

That’s in AUD, so around $550 USD.

Also, paying monthly here is more expensive, so it’s not just a simple divide by 12 situation.

@nelly
Interesting… how much more would it be per month?

I think it’d be about $120 per month.

WRX insurance is way higher than a non-turbo Impreza. Repairs are more expensive and, well… WRX drivers tend to drive a bit harder lol.

I pay more for my STI than I do for my Porsche GT3. No joke.

@Frey
