How Much Does The Tacoma Weigh?

Hi folks,

Does anyone know how much the Tacomas weigh?

Hi!
The weight of a Toyota Tacoma can vary depending on the model year, trim, and configuration.

For the 2023 model, the curb weight ranges from 3,915 lbs to 4,495 lbs. If you have a specific model or year in mind, I can provide more detailed information.

Hi!
Thanks for sharing the weight range for the 2023 Tacoma! I’m particularly interested in the TRD Off-Road model.

Do you have the specific curb weight for that trim? Also, are there significant weight differences between the 2023 and earlier models, like the 2020 Tacoma?

Hello!

The curb weight of the 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road variant is roughly 4,400 lbs.

When comparing this to previous versions, like the 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, it can be seen that both have curb weights of about 4,400 pounds. The small weight difference between these years suggests that the vehicle’s weight hasn’t changed significantly during the last few model years.

Tell me if you require any other information!

I am not sure of the precise amount, but it’s around 1000 pounds, which isn’t much gravel at all. It makes little difference which engine you have; what matters is the suspension and frame. The 2.7L is a little lighter, so you have somewhat more payload than the 3.4L, but the difference isn’t significant and is most likely within your loading margin of error.

My trailer weighs 4,200 pounds when empty and it works fine. I’m not winning any races, but it gets the job done. I’ve upgraded the suspension with Deaver Stage 2 leaf springs. The payload capacity is around 1,000 pounds. Remember, towing capability isn’t just about the trailer’s weight limit; it also includes payload since any trailer you tow adds tongue weight, which counts towards the payload.
