So, I have this 92 Lj70, and I have to admit, the interior isn’t the cleanest. It has mostly been used for getting back and forth from one place to another, so give me a break. Just wondering if anyone else in this forum has similar experiences or maybe even some tips for cleaning it up without too much hassle.
I totally understand what you mean. My Lj70 has definitely been through a lot too. What parts are the messiest for you?

Mainly the seats and floor mats. They just look super worn from all the use. Should I just get new covers or clean them instead?
@Laine
I had a similar issue with my seats. A good deep clean can really help. You might want to look into some fabric cleaner or just throw on some seat covers.
@Laine
What kind of cleaner are you thinking about using? I prefer something that isn’t harsh on the materials, you know?

Yeah, I want something gentle too. I’ve seen ads for fabric cleaners that are eco-friendly. Do you think they work?
I hear you. Mine has also been a transport for my dog, and it gets messy quick. Have you tried those cleaning kits? They can be really effective on tough stains.

I haven’t tried them yet. Which one do you recommend? I need something easy to use for sure.
@Laine
I usually grab one from my local auto shop. They have all-purpose cleaners that seem to work well. Just follow the instructions they provide.
You should definitely remember to vacuum the interior first. It makes a huge difference in how easy the cleaning process goes.

Good point. I keep forgetting that part. It would save time for sure, thanks for the reminder.
If it gets really tough, maybe consider getting a professional detailer involved. They can do a thorough job pretty quickly.

That’s a good idea, but I don’t want to spend too much. Have you tried detailing services before?
@Laine
Yeah, I’ve used them a couple of times. They usually make a big difference in the overall look. Just make sure to look around for the best prices.
