How to change a Subaru key fob battery… no tools needed!

At some point, you’ll need to swap out your key fob battery, but no worries—it’s super easy. No need for a trip to the shop! You can grab a replacement battery at most grocery or convenience stores.

To open the fob, press the silver button to remove the glove box key. Use it to push open the small slot that appears. Then, just pop the battery out and replace it.

For key-style fobs, you can use a flathead screwdriver, steak knife, or even the key itself to pry it open. Everything snaps apart and clicks back together.

Most fobs take either a 2032 or 1620-style battery, depending on the model. You can grab a 5-pack online for way less than a single one at the store. Hope this helps!

Lol, now you’re just flexing your editing skills. But seriously, good vid. Super helpful.

Nice! This is gonna save a ton of people from a trip to the dealership.
