A couple of days ago, I started getting an ICS malfunction warning on my 2018 Camry XSE. It says I should visit a dealer. Both ICS and parking assist have stopped working. The car used to beep when I got close to my garage door, but now it doesn’t. Everything else seems fine.
I already made a dealer appointment, but since my warranty ended at 60,000 km and I’m now at 70,000 km, I’ll have to pay full price for the diagnostic and any repairs.
Has anyone else had this happen? If it turns out to be a single sensor issue, I found a replacement from Toyota’s parts site for about $200. Has anyone done the installation before? Would love to hear any advice. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. But my issue seems to be with the ICS sensors on the bumper. I think the radar behind the emblem is for adaptive cruise control, and that’s still working fine.
I cleaned everything—windshield, emblem, and sensors—but the warning is still there.

Check your manual on page 325. Maybe your ICS is turned off. Also, check page 330—it explains how to turn it back on.
EDIT: Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it. It might reset the system. If you do, check page 333—it says you need to drive for at least 5 seconds at 22 mph or more after reconnecting to initialize the system.

Yeah, at this point, it might be worth having the dealer scan it. Still, I find it odd that the sensors just failed like that. Could be a loose cable or maybe even a faulty control module. Let us know what they find.
