Hey all, I’ve always had a soft spot for the 1992 Toyota Celica. Back in high school, my buddy had a bright red GT that we used to cruise around in (man, those were the days). Now, I’m thinking about picking up a Celica of my own. The thing is, I’m not sure what I’d be using it for most. Part of me wants a fun weekend car to relive the glory days, but another part wonders if a Celica could hold its own as a reliable daily driver. Anyone out there daily driving a 1992 Celica? I absolutely love these cars. I’ve always had a Celica in my possession, even before I was old enough to drive. It’s worth mentioning that the 5th gens have reached the ripe age of 28+ years, which means that finding certain parts is becoming increasingly challenging. Just like the 6th gen, it’s been over 23 years since its release. Still amazing cars, but there might be a bit more downtime if something breaks.
