Is 2012 Toyota Corolla S A Good Choice or Should I Look Elsewhere?

Hey everyone,

I’m on the hunt for my first car, and a 2012 Toyota Corolla S keeps popping up in my searches. Seems like a reliable option with a bit of a sporty feel, which is what I’m leaning towards. The thing is, I don’t know much about cars, and 2012 feels a bit far back. Is a 2012 Corolla S still a good choice for a first car in 2024? I mostly plan on using it for commuting to school and work, but I’d also like something that’s fun to drive on the weekends. Are there any common problems I should be aware of with the 2012 Corolla S?

Any advice from current or past Corolla S owners would be a huge help… Thanks

The author exclusively purchases Toyota vehicles for their dependability, practicality, and affordability. They have a new Corolla and find them reliable and practical. Toyota vehicles can last over 300,000 miles without extensive maintenance, and their replacement parts are reasonably priced. However, the Corolla is small.
