So what’s the deal with the new 2025 Camry? Is it really an improvement, or is Toyota just playing it safe again?
Can’t wait to get one as an Uber ride.

Most Uber drivers would probably go with a Prius. More luggage space, same number of passengers, and easier to drive in the city.
@Leander
The new Prius actually lost some cargo space. While it technically has more on paper, the Camry has more usable space in a lot of cases. Plus, the backseat in the Camry is roomier, and the price difference is only a few hundred dollars.
@Asa
Yeah, the new Prius definitely has less cargo space than the old one.

Not to mention, the backseat is tiny now. If the front seats are pushed back, good luck fitting in the rear seats comfortably.
@Wynne
Yeah, I was excited about the new Prius at first, but my parents got the Prime version, and it feels way smaller than the old one. No way I’d trade for the new one—there’s not even enough room for my bikes.
@Gerald
A family member is trading her old Prius for a RAV4 Prime. She wanted something bigger, not smaller. She would’ve bought the Prius V if they still made it. Honestly, the RAV4 Prime and Corolla Hybrid feel more like the old Prius now, while the new Prius is kind of doing its own thing.
@Wynne
Yeah, if I were to switch my Prius Prime, I’d be in the same situation. A plug-in hybrid wagon would be perfect, but the RAV4 Prime is probably the closest thing to that right now.

My brother has a 2018 Prius Prime, and compared to the new one, it’s a downgrade. The new one looks cool, but visibility is bad, and the interior is cramped. The old one just had so much space.
@Asa
The new Prius looks good though. But this thread is about the Camry.

I actually like how the new Prius looks, but yeah, this thread is about the Camry.
@Leander
Good luck getting a Prius. The waitlist is insane unless you’re willing to fly across the country to find one.

I see them all over at Toyota dealers on the East Coast. No idea what trims they are, though.
@Brook
They’re probably already sold but on hold for delivery. That’s how it is at my dealership.

Makes sense. We don’t have a Toyota dealer in our company, so I was just guessing.

Yeah, and if they aren’t already sold, you’d probably have to travel to get one.

Every Corolla Hybrid I’ve seen lately has an Uber sticker in the window.

Toyota hybrids are perfect for Uber. Great mileage, cheap to maintain, and they last forever.
@Finnian
Yeah, the Prius and Corolla Hybrid are like the ultimate Uber cars.
