Is the Yaris more reliable than the Corolla

I’ve been thinking about this for a while and maybe the first two generations of the Yaris were even more reliable than the Corolla What do you all think?

Greetings from Mehico, lam bella sagura

I don’t have stats to support it, but I believe the Yaris might be more reliable since it’s a simpler car. Simpler designs usually mean they’re more rugged. There are fewer moving parts which could lead to fewer things going wrong.

It might not perform as well or be as comfortable, but I don’t think the reliability difference is huge. The Corolla isn’t seen as unreliable either.

@Foster
Exactly! The Corolla is like the standard, but its little brother is great too I love both and think they offer amazing value.

I have a Yaris 3 and I really enjoy it, but I’m in Europe. For Mexico or the US, I would pick the Corolla unless I were in a big city and didn’t plan on using it outside much.

My Yaris is old enough to vote.

Yes and no cvt.

I own a 2007 Yaris with 220K miles and it still runs great I keep up with maintenance though Can any Corolla beat that

Yes.

Yaris, Corolla, or Auris What’s the best choice and which is more reliable

Yes.

I have a 2011 Yaris with 80K miles and it runs like new I change the oil every 5K and other fluids every 30K.

I have a 2007 Yaris. Once I took it to a Toyota dealership for repairs, and the manager there told me that the Yaris is definitely better than the Corolla, at least the models from back then He mentioned something about the engine being more reliable and lasting longer.

In Europe, the Yaris is better, but in North America, the Corolla stands out more.
