Is this a good deal for a 2021 truck… or not?

I’ve just started looking and finally have enough saved to buy a truck. This one’s $37k with 90k miles. Does that sound about right for this model?

I paid $49k for mine, and it only had 31.5k miles. Is that price before tax or the total out-the-door cost?

That’s just the pre-tax price.

What trim level are you talking about? SR5?

Yep, SR5. Bought it from CarMax last March.

That price seems pretty high once you factor in taxes and dealer fees. Did you check Kelley Blue Book? Dealers often add a lot of extras to the price.

I paid $42k out the door for my 2021 SR5 in cement gray with just 26k miles. Hope this gives you some perspective.

Some of the newer trucks come with an optional gun locker in the center console. Could be handy if that’s something you’re into.

I’ve got that covered, but thanks for the tip. :wink:

Surprised you’re getting downvoted. Honestly good advice, especially knowing most of the original poster’s posts are about guns. LOL.

@esleystanley
You’re not wrong… though I do post about my Sequoia sometimes too. :wink:

I have the gun locker in mine. It’s cool, but I never leave anything in it overnight.

I bought a 2019 1794 edition with 74k miles for $41k not long ago. Looks like your price is in the same ballpark as what I’ve seen.

If the truck’s in great shape and has a solid maintenance history, you’re probably not going to find much cheaper. These things are only going up in value!

Appreciate it. I might pass on this one, but it’s a good starting point for my search.

@Patrice
Fair enough. Good luck with your search. :+1:

For an SR5, I think you could find a better deal. It also depends on where you’re located. Around Texas or Oklahoma, you could get a 4x4 SR5 with fewer miles for that price.

Thanks. Yeah, it’s tough spending $40k on a truck that already has so many miles.

Is this the one at the place in Boyertown?

Yep, that’s the one.
