Looking at this offer for a new car… does this seem fair? Here’s the details
So they give you 3 years free maintenance but then charge over $1000 for 4 more years? That’s basically paying for one oil change per year. And tire rotations are always free when you buy tires… $250 per year just for oil and maybe some air filters seems way too much
What’s this VIP charge about?
Otherwise price looks close to normal. I heard regular RAV4s aren’t selling fast these days so maybe you can get it below the listed price

the vip thing is for 7 years of basic maintenance
@Shea
Check what’s actually included in that. Maybe call another dealer nearby and see if they can do better

Car buying should be exciting not stressful! Hope it works out
@Shea
if the maintenance plan doesn’t have Toyota’s name on it, it’s probably not worth it
@Shea
Those plans often cost too much. What if you move away later?

You might want to check out the hybrid version instead
@Bliss
yeah I’m thinking about that option
Go for it. With gas prices the savings add up over time. My wife’s 19 hybrid has been great. Only complaint is the interior feels cheap but I drive a Lexus so maybe I’m just picky
Can’t they waive the doc fee and non tax fee?
@Baylen
thanks! leaning toward a Hybrid XLE now. I’ll look up Jim

I’ve got a 21 Hybrid XLE Prime and it’s awesome
Car price seems fair. Never done trade-ins myself. You’re getting $700 better deal than I did. Never use the moonroof though - just adds noise

They wouldn’t budge on those fees when I asked
If you can’t pay cash it’s probably not a good deal
What car are you trading in?

If dealer’s giving $7000 for your trade-in, check Carvana/Carmax too. Dealers often lowball. Try to get $1500-$2k off MSRP. Gas models usually have more discounts
