Just got my 3rd Camry… 2025 XLE AWD

So this is my third Camry! Went with the 2025 XLE AWD and loving it so far. Got the sides tinted at 15%, windshield at 75% with ceramic, blacked out the chrome trim and emblems, and added a 12-inch subwoofer. It’s officially my mid-life crisis car… or at least as much of one as a Camry can be!

As much as a Camry can be that is. Also, this is my first and probably only brand new car ever.

Wow, you’re already on your third? I’m only on my second one!

Yeah, my second was a 2015 that I sold to my younger brother with only 87,000 miles on it. I just wanted to experience having a brand new car at least once.

My first was an '01 I bought around 2007 with 77k miles. That car was a tank even though I wasn’t great about maintenance. It finally gave out at 270k after I sold it to my older brother.

Wow, you’re really loyal to the Camry! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

They’ve always been good to me.

My dad had one for work that’s now with my brother, a 2007 model. I’m happy with my 2018 XLE V6. I like the new design, but until they add more power to the engine, I’m good with mine. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@Nile
Fair point, everyone’s got different needs. I’m just really excited to have my first hybrid with AWD.

How does the AWD handle? Can you corner smoothly? How’s the maneuvering?

@Nile
Someone on this forum explained it well: It uses dynamic torque control AWD. It’s passive, only activating when it detects slippage. It drives like FWD until there’s a need for AWD, then switches back.

@Mars
Makes sense. I had a 2006 Ridgeline that did something similar. It’d slip but always balanced out with the AWD system.

Yeah, nothing too thrilling but super useful in bad weather.

@Mars
I didn’t want a Camry at first since it was FWD. I’ve had RWD cars and prefer how they handle, but the Camry surprised me. It handles sharp turns well for a FWD.

I have the '25 SE AWD. Technically my third Camry too. The first one was a family car my wife inherited. We gave it to her brother when we moved to Brooklyn, and it didn’t run well in the rain anyway.

How’s the ride quality? Does it handle road bumps well?

It’s not luxury, but it’s pretty decent.

Is that black or the underground color?

It’s black. Looks a bit gray in certain lighting, but definitely black.

Nice ride! I have an XLE too.
