Looking at buying a 2019 Avalon Limited. 55k miles. Are there any major issues with these cars that I should know about before purchasing?

They’re asking $30k for this one with 55k miles. But are going to give me $19.5k on my truck trade-in that I own outright, more than other dealers have offered. Think it’s worth grabbing?

That’s exactly why I’m looking at one of these. My brother has a 2004 Avalon with 256k miles and she still starts right up and rides like a dream. Has a few issues but amazing that it runs and drives as well as it does.

@Brown
Totally. Get that Avalon.

Tell them you’ll pay $29k with $15.9k for your truck and see what they say. But get the out-the-door price first to make sure they don’t have ridiculous fees, etc. otherwise it’s a fair price. There are a few unicorn Avalons of the same year with similar miles for $28.9k, so $30k is in the ballpark.

Make sure oil changes have been done regularly. 5-6k miles is optimal. You shouldn’t have any problems. Even if they only did the 10k mile oil changes, as long as you do 5-6k, you shouldn’t have any issues with it “using” oil once it gets to 100k plus miles.

Looks like after the taxes, tags, and fees and everything, total price out the door is $32,880. Minus trade of $19.5k, so I would end up owing about $13,380 on the car.

I got my 2019 limited fully loaded this year for $26k, 70k miles.

Love my Hybrid Limited. I cross-shopped it with the ES hybrid, and the Avalon was “just as good.” The ES cabin was slightly quieter and the speakers just a tad better, but not enough to justify the price increase.

It flies under the radar and blends in everywhere. I love it and I’m bummed they discontinued it :frowning:

Wish I could have found a limited hybrid. I think I would have been a lot happier than my XSE hybrid. I often find myself wishing I had the 350ES.

Same!

Check my profile for the same gen Avalon. Almost the same color as well. Avalons are great cars. Go for it!

Only issue I faced, maybe just specific with my car, is a ticking metallic noise from the seatbelt section of the passenger side. But nothing major. Something like this
