It’s been three months with my 2024+ Toyota Land Cruiser, and I’ve already hit 30,000 miles. So far, I’ve completed 6 oil changes, and 6 tire rotations, and replaced the first engine and cabin air filters. Currently running on 255/70/18 snow tires (Blizzack DM-V2) and getting 23.1 MPG. Is anyone else enjoying their Land Cruisers?
What kind of job do you have to do all of this driving?? (Translated: where can I send an application?)
Hi u/UnstoppableMileage - can you talk about what it’s like working as a medical courier? Do you have set routes that you run (like this airport to that hospital)? 120K miles a year is wild. You’re like a long haul trucker in a personal vehicle. How many nights a week are you in hotels? How is pay structured?
Given the 30k miles - top 3 likes and dislikes so far?
Tank average of 23 MPG given you’re cruising at probably 60+ mph in a car shaped like a box on winter tires and winter blend. Really impressive.
Dude here in super hilly CO, I’m getting 19 MPG with an UpTop roof rack and snow tires. 23 is crazy impressive.
Jesus, 30k miles in 3 months. What do you do for a living?
Mine, commuting to work is 60 miles/day round trip, 15k miles/year. While you eat up 30k just in three months. Impressive. Your job is on the highway?
Freakin iconic.
I put 50k a year on a vehicle, this is insane. Lol.
Happy cake day to you!
Hopefully it holds up for you, I’m wary of the new engine+transmission combo.
That’s what OP is here for but he put 440,000 miles on a RAV4 hybrid - so no reason to doubt this will be any different.
Giving me hope on my LC.
Nice. What gas?
Why 93? Just curious, I thought the 250 just needed 91.
One thing you may want to consider changing is the filters on the hybrid battery. I believe there are two of them behind the rear seats. The filters stop dust and debris from entering the hybrid battery. Many times people forget to change these filters and the batteries end up failing.
Impressive MPG number in the cold and snow with the snow tires. Have you hand calculated any tanks with what I assume to be smaller snow tires? I’m not sure what model you had I don’t recall, but didn’t the LC come with 265/70/18? It’s not a huge difference but it is a little.
Outta curiosity, why’d you pick the LC Prado over something more fuel efficient and comfy? Do you often take off-road trails for work?
