My 2023 Got Hit Yesterday and the Driver Took Off... :(

Sorry this happened. I hope everyone in your car is okay. I wish the other driver gets some bad luck while driving!

Ouch! So sorry this happened to your car.

I work at a university, and the number of hit and run incidents I hear about this year is really high.

Insurance prices have gone up this year. More people are driving without it, which leads them to flee the scene to avoid charges, making insurance more expensive for everyone else. It’s a vicious cycle.

Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry. It’s frustrating that so many people think it’s okay to do this and just leave. I’ve been in that situation too, and it never gets easier.

So sorry to hear this. At least the person who hit mine stayed around.

I hope everything turns out okay. Nice color, by the way. It’s the same as mine.

I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. My condolences to you, OP.

:disappointed: This is tragic! It’s a 2023, so I hope you have full coverage and that your insurance sorts this out for you.

It won’t help you now, but dash cams are great for catching license plates.

I followed him and took pictures of the plate!

Good! Let his (probably canceled) insurance take a hit.

I had mine hit in the driveway by a FedEx truck while I was sitting on the couch. It really stings. I bought a new vehicle and had to get bodywork done twice in the first year. I don’t think I’ll ever do it again! Haha.

Can’t have nice things anymore.

It’s only a Camry. No big deal; it’ll buff out. Try the plunger trick on the dents.

Were you loved as a child? Lol.

I’ve been hit and run twice in the last eight months; I know how it feels.

Aww, my 2007 Camry got hit yesterday too by a big Tundra, and he was at fault.

My 2023 is in the shop right now after getting rear-ended mostly on the passenger side, so I feel your pain. I was ‘lucky’ because a public utility vehicle hit me, and they’re covering everything. It’s over $7000 so far without taking anything apart yet. I hope your insurance takes care of you because hit and run drivers are the worst.

You can probably buff that out!

Sorry to hear that, man. :pensive:
