So this started the other day, initially with the tire pressure light flashing for a minute or two until it became solid. Then other lights started flashing or staying on. It’s an '08 5.7 4WD. Some Googling says the flashing tire pressure light means something’s wrong with the tire pressure monitoring system, which could disable the 4WD system. Filled the tires up, made no difference. It stops after turning the truck off sometimes and then comes back on after a few minutes. Anyone have any ideas?
Not sure about your gen/year, but on my 2025, the ABS sensor was damaged when I leveled the truck and it caused all kinds of lights and codes. Couldn’t even use 4WD. Really sucked but easy to fix. Hope the same for you.
Not to be that guy, but try pulling your battery off for 10 minutes then reconnecting it. It’s kind of a soft reset for the truck computer that may clear the issue. If it still happens after that, then you can be more sure there’s a real problem.
@Clarkson
Definitely doesn’t hurt to try! I should’ve added, I got no codes from an ODB scanner.
EDIT: Unfortunately, that yielded the same results.

Dang, it worked for me in the past when I was getting funky errors.

If you’re not getting codes, it might be a scanner that only reads engine codes. There’s something wrong that should definitely give some kind of code. Could be the body control module, ABS, or maybe a short in your wiring somewhere. Just throwing ideas out there. Could be something totally different.

To be fair, the seatbelt light wasn’t part of it lol. I was parked in my driveway and took the clip before shutting down and getting out. But yeah, pretty much. When the alternator died, EVERYTHING started flashing, but it went into limp mode which didn’t happen this time.
How old is your battery? Random electrical gremlins can be caused by a battery in poor health, so it might not hurt to get yours tested. A lot of auto parts stores do this for free.

I got another vehicle almost a year ago and barely drive it. This battery has gone the longest since I got the truck. I think I will try that. Definitely could use a new one anyway.
Almost certainly a wheel speed sensor on the LF or RF is bad or the wire is broken. ABS, VSC, traction control, and 4HI are all related. Wheel speed sensor is also super easy to replace.

I will look into this. There’s so much wrong with this thing, I’m honestly amazed it still runs. I know for the last 100,000 miles that I’ve owned it, none of that has been looked at so it’s definitely a suspect.
@Del
I agree with the above. This is similar (not exactly) to what happened to me when my wheel speed sensor acted up. Luckily, it just got too dirty. Nothing wrong with it, but it lit everything up the same.
Check your fuses, and check for any burnt-out or shorting light bulbs. I had crappy Amazon LED bulbs in my tail lights, and one of them shorted and gave me this problem.

Good idea, I’ll certainly check all the bulbs and fuses! That would be nice if it’s something as simple as that!!

I had the same issue from mice eating my wire harness on the frame rail. Check your wire clusters under the hood. Luckily, insurance generally covers it because it’s a fire issue.

That’s something I will definitely check out. It would be more likely squirrels or corrosion where I’m at
Did you check codes? This happened when there was a loose wire connection on one of my ABS wheel sensors.

No codes, but as someone else pointed out, my basic OBD scanner most likely doesn’t pick up intricate issues that a better one would (I gave my better one away >.<)
