New 2026 toyota rav4 design, thoughts on the render

These renderings are based on the camouflaged spy shots of the 2026 RAV4. An automotive journalist who got a look at the final version told me these are pretty accurate. The only real difference is that the rear middle bar doesn’t light up to connect the taillights.

There are also supposed to be at least three different front designs. The one in this rendering is for the Limited model.

If these are accurate, it looks pretty nice.

Looks like they just blended the current model with a Lexus and Camry. From the spy shots I saw, it’s not far off.

Crossover * I think SUV should be used only for body-on-frame vehicles.

I get the argument, but size-wise and functionally it’s close enough. I’m still gonna call it an SUV.

@Frankie
They aren’t even small anymore. RAV4, CR-V, and Rogue have more interior space than midsize sedans now.

Good point. Everything keeps getting bigger. My sister had a two-door RAV4 in high school, totally different size.

That debate ended more than ten years ago.

Same thing, just with Lexus styling.

I thought it would be ugly based on those spy shots, but this actually looks decent.

I like the Gen5 look better, glad I got one before the redesign.

Picked up a 2024 Prime in September, last of its kind.

Why does Toyota keep using that hook-shaped headlight design? Is that their new signature look?

Yeah, they call it the hammerhead design.

I miss when the RAV4 looked more rugged. Wish Toyota would bring out something like the old Sidekick.

Would love an FJ Cruiser comeback, but I doubt it. Toyota seems more focused on hybrids now.

@Ellery
If you’ve seen the final design, you’d know that’s not accurate.

What part is wrong?

Looks like every other crossover.
