Depending on where you live, I would start with the power tailgate lock if there isn’t one. The paint surrounding the right hinge pin can then be shielded by using even something as basic as a hose clamp and heat shrink. Cat shield can also be beneficial, depending on your current location. The sequential blinker and blacked-out turn signals in the mirror are appealing to me. If you want to add something to the walk-up lights, I prefer the miso puddle pods. To get the wire through the door loom, though, they’re a bitch. Then, if you want to tackle any more difficult trails, you might want to consider getting some functional sliders. The ones with the kick out at the back and possibly some plates to shield the low hanging branches are what I would get.

I adhere to the manufacturer’s service schedule, which includes regular oil changes and tire rotations. I also consistently monitor fluid levels and check the brakes and suspension to keep everything running smoothly.

This truck is legendary for a reason.

To get started, I recommend:

  • Researching Common Tacoma Issues: Understanding potential problems can help you address them early.
  • Considering Essential Accessories: Items like bed liners, floor mats, and tonneau covers can be very practical.
  • Exploring Mods: There are numerous upgrades available, from lift kits to audio enhancements. Consider what you want to achieve with your truck.
