Looks like Toyota is getting ready to launch a facelift for the Hilux. A test version was spotted in Thailand, covered in heavy camo on the front and back. People are guessing it might come with some big upgrades, both inside and out, and maybe even a new engine.
Anyone got any thoughts on what Toyota might change? Better tech? More power? Or just a small refresh?
Probably just some new headlights and a grille tweak. They never go too crazy with facelifts.

Yeah, Toyota usually plays it safe. But the camo makes me think there might be more changes this time.

Hope they do something to the interior. The current one feels a bit outdated.

No confirmation yet, but a hybrid would be interesting. Wouldn’t be surprised if they just tweak the current engine lineup though.

Yeah, Toyota loves their hybrids, but in a work truck like this? IDK if that would make sense.
Toyota is overdue for a tech upgrade. Hopefully, they add a better infotainment system.

Seriously. The screen in my 2022 Hilux feels like it belongs in 2012.

Exactly. They need wireless CarPlay and a better UI. Feels like every other brand is ahead in this department.
Wouldn’t mind if they updated the suspension a bit. The ride is still kinda rough compared to some newer trucks.

I thought they made some suspension tweaks in the last model. You think it still needs more improvement?

Yeah, it’s better than before, but still feels stiff on long drives. Maybe some better damping would help.
Hilux has always been about reliability, but it wouldn’t hurt to get some more power. Maybe a turbo upgrade?

That would be nice. I think people would be happy with even a small bump in horsepower.

Yeah, even an extra 20-30 hp would make a difference, especially when towing.
