Hi everyone, sharing some fun facts with you… Be smart; don’t trust anyone.
I think there’s a bug on that page. It’s missing the ‘GFY’ option.

The only bug is greed.
Dealerships are such a scam.

I did not expect to receive such scam recommendations at 25,000 miles.
I’d ask them to show me what needed to be cleaned and document it, just to waste some more of their time before I declined it all anyway and complained to the service manager.
Guys, the point is the car is running perfectly!!! The mileage is too low to offer that service! Scammers
Toyota, I hope you are reading this.

The only requirement is to review their quote and accept or reject. Third option: go somewhere else for future maintenance.
My response to them is to show me where these items are listed in the maintenance manual.
“Are these failures that will not allow me to drive?” “If yes, fix it under warranty.”

They hope you will be intimidated into worrying that your warranty will be voided if you do not agree to the ‘required’ work.
Don’t do any of that at the dealer. I would have an independent shop take a look at all of this, and their prices will be way more reasonable.
Brother, I was quoted well over $3k for a 60k service

Here’s the kicker: the car was just barely over 50k at the time this occurred . Their reasoning: the previous dealership didn’t perform certain maintenance at the previous interval . Majority of that service quote was for them to spray some foam cleaner into the TB or something. Like, ‘do you have high-mileage blinker fluid for me to buy?’
@brad
Cleaning the TB at 50,000 miles is sound preventive maintenance. It is not necessarily a ‘bad recommendation.’
It will be dirty to one degree or another.
