Wow, that V6 and transmission combo is built to last. Solid setup.

Thanks! I’m hoping it’ll stay strong for a long time.
This is awesome. I really wanted the SE V6 from that lineup back then. If I’d bought one, I’d probably still be driving it instead of my 2019.

Mine’s the fully loaded version—every feature except for navigation. It was my dream car at the time, and I loved driving it. By the time my oldest turned 16, I was ready to upgrade, but I’m glad this one’s still sticking around.
@Hale
It’s perfect for a teenager. The V6 has enough pep without being too much for someone just starting out. Sure, they might mess up the paint or interior, but as long as the oil gets changed, that drivetrain will keep going.
@mary
True, but I do worry about my boys and that V6 power. My oldest daughter will get it first, so no worries there. Still, I’ve had my fair share of dumb moments pushing it to triple digits—it’s surprising how quick it can get there for a Camry.
@Hale
Fair point, but I upgraded to a G37, and the difference between that V6 and the Camry’s is huge. I even tried convincing my ex to make the G37 the second car for the kids, but that didn’t fly.

Lol, I haven’t upgraded yet since my daughter’s still on her learner’s permit, but I’m planning on getting a new Tesla Model 3 Performance soon. I drive a lot and can’t keep spending $50 every few days on gas. People may have their opinions on EVs, but I’m ready to give it a shot.
@Hale
I grew up around muscle cars, so my upgrade had to be something special—I got a Lexus RC F. It’s like they combined a Camaro, a Camry, and a Mercedes. I get Toyota reliability, Camaro power, and Lexus luxury. It’s my dream car, and I’m hoping to keep it running for another couple hundred thousand miles.
@mary
No way! The RC F is my dream car, along with a manual Supra. I’d love one of each, but with three kids draining my budget, there’s no chance right now. Plus, where I live, it’d just sit in the garage all winter. My wife already rolls her eyes when she catches me watching RC F videos on YouTube.
@Hale
Haha, I feel that. I drooled over them for years before finally getting mine. My kids are 15 and 18, and my ex doesn’t get a say in what I buy anymore, so… yeah, I went for it. Next, I might go for a Lotus.
@mary
A Lotus? Nice! They’ve got the Camry V6 supercharged, don’t they? For now, I’m sticking with the Tesla—it’s cheaper to run than a Prius and has crazy acceleration. Some of the newer ones can do the quarter mile in under 11 seconds. Insane for $47K.
