Spent the weekend adding some Lamin X to my fog lights and putting on the OEM window deflectors.
This spot is my go-to for snapping pics. What do you think?

Man, Subaru really nailed it with this car. What’s the deal with the LaminX?

Just a yellow tint for the fog lights. Nothing too crazy.
Looks awesome! Is this the Onyx edition?

Yep! The slower version. Haha.

Lol, can’t be slower than the Limited Edition Crosstrek . Great looking car!
@Taryn
Haha! I don’t think it’s slow, but I see a lot of people saying the XT is better. I came from a Crosstrek Sport 2.5, so that felt a bit quicker for sure.

Good to know. I’m planning to upgrade from a 2.0 Crosstrek to an Outback soon. I’m looking at both the Onyx and Wilderness. The XT is nice, but I didn’t realize there was such a big difference in power or quality between models.
@Taryn
Nothing wrong with a turbo, but it didn’t fit my budget. I’ve got motorcycles if I want speed. This was a dealer loaner (24’ with 6k miles) and I got a great deal. Couldn’t pass it up.

That’s an awesome deal! Hard to pass up. Like you said, if you want speed, there are other options. I need to do more research on what I really want. Side note, what kind of motorcycles do you have?
@Taryn
I went with the Onyx for the blacked-out look. The only other one I’d consider is maybe a Limited. I have a Triumph Bonneville T120 and a Harley Pan America.
Any tips for putting on OEM rain guards? I broke the first one I tried . Now I only have 3. The clip was stopping the window from going up, so I tried pushing and heating it to move it, and it snapped.
@Vincent
Make sure you remove the rubber bits from the clips. I took the plastic off the adhesive on each end and started peeling it back on the longer upper piece, pulling up so you can adjust it before it sticks. Once it’s in place, remove the red tape and press it down. No heat needed, just patience. The hardest part for me was pulling the housing out. Ugh.
@Tobin
I removed the plastic from the adhesive but pulled it down instead of up. It got caught on the clip and moved everything. My fault. The heat was after I stuck it on wrong, and the window wouldn’t go up because the clip wasn’t in place. I’m going to buy a cheap non-OEM set without clips to replace the broken one. Thanks for the tips!
@Vincent
That’ll do it. There are some nice non-OEM options out there. I liked the OEM ones on my Crosstrek a bit more than these, to be honest.
I love the blacked-out look. My first Crosstrek was blacked out, and I loved it! This one has too much chrome for my taste, but I’ve been adding black overlays to cover it. Your car looks amazing. My dad used to tell me stories about his first bike, a Triumph. He loved it, except for the solid springs under the seat. Both are great bikes. I sold my bike last summer and regretted it immediately. It was a BMW R65 /S.
@Taryn
My white CT Sport had a lot of black trim. I loved it, but this Autumn Green is something else. Haha. I’ll be blacking out the badges next. Motorcycles will always be around. I’ve bought and sold a few over the years. Next up might be a pair of Honda Trail 125s.
@Tobin
I added yellow badges to this Crosstrek and matching letter overlays. It really pops now. Dark blue and bright yellow. Funny you want a Honda next. My first bike was a Honda XL 100. Street legal and great for trails.
@Taryn
They’re lightweight and easy to put on a rack. Would be perfect for the trails here in Southern Utah.

Lots of fun up here in Northern Ontario. We use the snowmobile trails in spring and summer. Some of the best bush riding around.
