Question: What Year Did Toyota First Offer Cooled Seats in the Tundra and What Trim Are They Available In?

What Year Did Toyota First Offer Cooled Seats in the Tundra

Pretty sure they are only available on the Platinum or 1794 (cowboy platinum) crew max since 2010. I don’t think you can even get them as an upgrade on the Limited on the 2nd gen. Maybe in the 3rd gens you can? Early 2nd gen Tundra Limited?

@Chancey
“Cowboy platinum” got my upvote.

Have a 3rd generation Limited (2024) and have heated and ventilated front seats.

I think cooled is different than ventilated?

My apologies, maybe I didn’t use the correct term. I am not sure if they are cooled, air conditioned, or ventilated.

My goal is to determine what trim level I could associate having them with. Wanting to get a V8 which I guess they stopped on 2021, right?

@WilliamMia
I have them in my 2013 Platinum for what it’s worth.

I think cooled/ventilated are the same thing.

The Platinum had ventilated seats. Not sure what the first year of that trim line was; it might have been 2010 (it was an add-on package to the Limited until 2013, after which it became its own trim line, IIRC).

@EmmanuelBrown
Do you find those useful? The heated seats are definitely powerful, but the vented seats seem wimpy.

No. I can’t tell the difference. I do like the heated seat aspect.

The 1794 has them.
