Truck didn’t want to leave its owner.
Looks like battery or alternator, but could also be normal if the key was just turned on without starting.

This happened to me when I first bought mine and thought I got a lemon. Turns out it’s just what happens when the engine isn’t running.
@Keagan
Yep, people are reading way too much into this.

Had a similar message when my battery needed replacement.

Would usually be alternator-related if it happens while driving. Engine would keep running without a battery.
@Bran
Modern vehicles are a bit different with all the electronics. Not like the old days.

My truck’s electronics were acting up when the battery was low, even though the engine ran fine. Modern cars are weird.
@Denali
What year is your truck?

In some cases, yeah. Depends on the vehicle.
@Bran
Would need to check the wiring on newer models. Not always the same as older trucks.

This message pops up if you just turn the ignition on without starting the engine. Probably nothing wrong.
Those warnings usually come up when the engine is off, and the key is just turned on. Wouldn’t read too much into it without more info.

Exactly. These messages are normal in accessory mode. Not sure why people are downvoting the truth here.
@viviana
They’ll be back here later freaking out over the same thing. Just trying to help.

Would it cause the check engine light though?
My truck does this when I mess up first gear, like when I’m trying to get it on ramps. Not sure if that helps, but it’s just one of those things.

If you’re doing ramps, try 4lo. It’s way smoother. Out on the road, feather the clutch, and don’t rush it.
