So I tried adding a 1.5 inch lift to my 20 Adventure and ended up with… well just 1.5 inches… learn from my mistake

Here’s what happened when I tried to lift my RAV4 - pictures show before, during and after:

Oof that’s rough but the pictures are kinda hilarious😂 glad you fixed it!

This forum might appreciate it but also check out battlecars

We need to hear these stories too - takes guts to admit when things go wrong

Doubt many will learn though… this forum gets the same basic questions daily:

  • good deal?
  • oil changes?
  • why bad mpg in winter?

Every. Single. Day

@Amanda
Those folks don’t search first. People modifying their rides actually look stuff up

@Amanda
Can we just delete the 5k oil change posts automatically?

At least labor wasn’t bad and I got new strut mounts since my mechanic buddy forgot them first time

Why switch from truck to car then try making it a truck again?

Not trying to be rude but a 4Runner would’ve been better for offroad stuff

Fair point

Had an 04 Runner with 200k miles and rust issues. Wasn’t the V8 model. Then got a Tesla my wife took, so this RAV4 became mine. Saving for a house so didn’t want to buy another big SUV right now

How much did the lift hurt your gas mileage

Lost another 2 with tires/wheels :joy: Still get 26-28 in city though. My 4Runner gets 14-16 lol

@Marcell
Wonder how hybrids handle it. Thinking about bronze rims for my gray one - that combo looks sharp

Check spaseyota and moon buggy on insta - they’ve got hybrids! Bronze on gray does look sweet :heart_eyes:

@Marcell
My runner was like that - hurt every time I filled up

Yeah especially when gas hit $7 here in socal :smiling_face_with_tear:

Went with Northwoods lvl 3 rear springs - perfect for extra weight. Might upgrade shocks later. Thanks for sharing your experience
