Something strange going on with this car… anyone else seen this?

Saw a car today that just didn’t seem right… like it was pretending to be something it’s not. Ever had that happen?

Are you planning to keep your vanity plates on the new car?

Yeah, why not?

Reminds me of when I first got my Legacy. I got a parking ticket at a university, and they listed the model as a ‘Gray Corolla.’

Same here! They wrote mine down as a Toyota Camry when I had a Legacy GT.

@Landyn
Did you have to pay for yours? I thought I could get away with it, figured campus PD wouldn’t bother, but nope… they used my tag number and sent it to the sheriff’s department. Ended up having to pay it.

Probably had a beat-up WRX, and when it finally died, they had to swap to something else but kept the plates.

Would be hilarious if it turned out to be a Camry built at the same factory as Subarus.

Well, good news… it actually might be!

Maybe like me… Got carjacked, then decided to get the most low-key commuter car I could find. But I still wanted a little bit of fun in it.

Might need to check if ‘DREWBARU’ is still available for plates.

Error 404… flat-four engine not found.

A great pretender…

Close enough, I guess.

Let me guess… they work at Subaru?

That’s a Toy-wota.

The car identifies as a Subaru. You got a problem with that?

  1. Toyota owns a big chunk of Subaru.

  2. That’s obviously just a vanity plate for ‘Suub Awu.’
