been lurking here since i got my car last year. recently, my mom backed into it (lol) and my parents are covering the repairs. asked the body shop to replace my factory xse spoiler with an aftermarket one, but they called saying it won’t fit. apparently, the stock one is bolt-on, while the new one uses adhesive and sits further back. anyone know of a carbon fiber spoiler that fits properly?
yeah, the factory one is pretty specific in mounting. check out seibon or rexpeed, they make carbon spoilers that fit better.

nice, i’ll look into those. appreciate it!
had a similar issue. some people mod the mounting points to make aftermarket ones work, but honestly, a direct fit is easier.

how hard is modding the mounting points? might consider it.
@Unclewaffl3s
depends on the spoiler. some just need extra holes drilled, others need a custom bracket. if you’re not comfortable drilling into your hatch, i’d skip it.

yeah, not trying to risk messing it up. thanks for the heads-up!
the oem gr corolla spoiler fits with some minor adjustments. not full carbon, but you can wrap or paint it.

didn’t think of that, might be a solid option.
try looking at vis racing. they have a few carbon spoilers for the 12th gen that bolt up properly.
