Subaru sending data to insurance… anyone know more

This is the problem… these companies hide behind business names and avoid any real consequences.

Car companies can get mileage data from the DMV too. That’s how they track how many of their cars are still on the road.

Isn’t that mostly for really old cars though? Like ‘90% of our cars are still running after 15 years’ type of thing?

Insurance companies don’t care about mileage.

Mine does… my rate went up 30% because I drove too much last year. Took one big trip and that was enough for them to jack it up.
