Sun glare from truck hood… anyone else dealing with this?

Anyone else getting blinded while driving toward the sun with the “valley” in the tundra hood? It’s actually dangerous at certain angles. Biggest disappointment so far for me.

I just noticed this today. 3rd day of ownership. It’s extremely blinding.

I’m having the same issue. It’s so annoying. I’m thinking about getting the edges wrapped with matte vinyl. Did you find a solution yet?

Yes, gotta keep the truck dirty to avoid this.

I ran a 4" strip of vinyl across the inside bottom of the windshield because I got tired of looking at a crack from a thrown rock on the highway. Solved the glare issue as well. Bit tricky to install, but worth it. I love not seeing the hood too. Looks like it was meant to be there.

Same issue here, and it’s still strong even with a tinted windshield. Very annoying.

Buy some sunglasses.

Try tinting your windshield.

I agree, it’s blinding. Give these a try:

Thanks, but I can’t see myself putting that on the front windshield. I ordered some flat black vinyl to solve the problem.

@Fintan
These are removable, and I move them as needed. They just cling to the surface quickly and can be removed without issue. Like a kid’s shade but with clingy film for easy attachment. I’m not affiliated with them. I just use their product in my airplane. Good luck!

Waiting for my new Arctic White. Sounds like I may be having the hood wrapped.
