Definitely man, gotta get outside and enjoy it!
Looks like an awesome day! And I gotta say, that Frenchie is a cool co-pilot.
Where did you head out to? It takes me a bit of driving to get to any trails, and I really need to get some better recovery gear for this.

I went to the southern Adirondacks, around the Forestport area in the Black River wilderness. I usually head out alone off-road. I don’t have much gear, just a solid tow strap, a downloaded GPS map, and a first aid kit. But trust me, in the snow, things can go sideways fast if you’re not careful—4wd or not.

I’m from the Capital District and have been wanting to do off-roading in my Tacoma. Didn’t know there was much to explore in the Adirondacks!

Oh yeah, there are tons of seasonal roads, ATV and snowmobile trails, and dirt roads. You just gotta have an app to know where you are, especially in the winter. You’d definitely love it! Your Tacoma’s pretty capable, even in 2wd you’d be able to handle most of it.

Do you use an app to find those seasonal roads?

Yeah, I use the Trailforks app all the time. It’s great for hiking, fishing, and off-roading. Shows you the locations of trails on a downloaded map so you don’t need cell service. It’s super handy, especially when traveling to see what’s nearby.

Haha, awesome! Same color, great minds think alike!
This truck makes me miss my second-gen Tacoma. I’m driving a third-gen now, which is great, but I still have a soft spot for the older ones! Looking great!

Thanks a lot! It’s the truck I’ve always wanted, and it’s been good to me. My next one will definitely be a third-gen, no doubt.
What fog lights are those?

I’m not exactly sure on the brand, but they’re 4 LED amber/white fogs. They work with the directionals too. They cost about $130 for the pair, but the wiring was a bit tricky for me.

Thanks! Also, our Tacomas are the same color!
