That rear power window might be my favorite thing about the 4Runner

Seriously underrated feature.

Totally agree!

Same here :100: I rented one in 2021 and loved having the moonroof and rear window open. That feature is what convinced me to buy one. Also—great photo!

It might seem small, but it’s the only reason I bought another 4Runner. I had a 5th gen, now own a 6th. I carry a kayak on top and tow gear in the back, so I can’t open the tailgate—but that rear window lets me get to my stuff and keep it secure. Not sure if any other new SUV has this feature.

@DukeJames4
Exactly! I had a kayak up top and couldn’t open the back—thankfully that window came through.

@DukeJames4
Rivian’s SUV has it too. I really wish more SUVs would bring back roll-down rear windows—especially tailgate styles like the old Broncos (’78–’96).

My dogs are obsessed with it.

Same! I keep them in the back with the window down—they love slow drives. People always smile seeing their heads poking out lol

I can’t wait to roll it down on the way home from work.

Couldn’t agree more.

I love mine too.

That photo is :fire:

Anyone know of a screen that fits the back window? Something clip-on, magnetic, or that slips over?

Luno makes them!

@Zoran
Appreciate it!

Same here—it’s my favorite too.

Facts—it’s the best part.

Mine stopped working for a bit because of busted wires. It was awful lol. Got it fixed though—back to normal.

Is it actually safe to drive with it down? I read somewhere it might pull exhaust fumes into the cabin from a vacuum effect.

That shot is awesome!
