They say they can't stay in business without raising rates…

35M paying $117.84 per year for my 2015 Forester FXT.

Ontario has the highest insurance in Canada thanks to fraud and other nonsense. Definitely shop around.

At least you’re not in Michigan.

Michigan insurance rates are a joke.

More cars, more accidents, hurricanes… all add up to higher rates.

How does your home insurance compare between Ohio and Florida?

Four times higher in Tampa, but I only have renters insurance like I did in Ohio.

I checked my policy and apparently have $50k coverage for a dog I don’t even own. Definitely switching companies by the end of the week.

@Oak
We don’t have a lot of power as customers, but good on you for at least trying.

Check SelectQuote… they compare insurance companies for you. If you bundle it with home insurance, you’ll probably save more.

I only saw life insurance on their site.

I have Progressive and I pay a year upfront for the discount. My renewal is coming up soon. I’ve had them for 6 years, so I get accident forgiveness, but I’ll drop that if I can save a few hundred bucks elsewhere.

I raised my coverage limits to 300/100/300k on my ‘23 Forester and pay $83 a month in Washington state.

I shop around every 6 months. Insurance companies bank on people being too lazy to compare rates.

Shop around, but don’t lower your coverage too much. State minimums barely cover anything these days.

Yeah, I always compare apples to apples. Florida’s minimum only gets you PIP. My credit union has some leads, so I’ll be checking them out this week.
