I live in southern Ontario, Canada, and I’ve always wanted to test drive a MK5 Supra. The problem is, the closest one is two hours away.I’m a bigger guy—5’11 but built wide (not just a belly thing). I tried sitting in one at the local auto show, but the battery was dead, so I couldn’t adjust the seat. Felt like Mr. Incredible crammed into a tiny car.So my question is… is it worth making the trip just to see if I fit comfortably? Are these seats good for bigger guys, or am I going to feel squished no matter what? Also, I noticed a bracket behind the seat. Does it stop the seat from moving back further? Does it actually do anything, or can I remove it to make more room?Any advice would be great!
I’m 6’5 but on the thinner side. I took out that metal cross beam behind the seats, and it made a difference. The seat could recline a little more, which helped a lot. That thing is super thin and hollow, held by just two bolts. Took me about 30 minutes to remove.

I’ve been thinking about taking mine out too. Good to know it actually makes a difference!

Yeah, there are videos on YouTube showing how to do it. The hardest part is squeezing into the trunk and getting the plastic trim off, but overall, it’s pretty simple.
You should be fine. I’m 6’1 and on the bigger side, and I don’t have any problems. It does take some practice to get in and out smoothly, but you’ll get used to it.The bracket can be removed, but even with the seat all the way back, it doesn’t really get in the way. I keep mine about 80-85% back and have plenty of room.
The seats are super comfortable. The only tricky part is getting out of the car.
I’m 6 feet tall but have broad shoulders and a wide back from lifting, and I still fit fine. I think you’ll be good.
I’m 6’3 and lift weights seriously, so I get the ‘wide’ issue. I won’t lie, it’s a snug fit up top, but I actually like it. Feels like I’m locked in. If I tracked the car, maybe it’d be annoying, but for regular driving, it’s great.
I’m 5’11 and pretty wide too. The cabin is a little tight, but totally doable. If you were 6’2 and built wide, then maybe it’d be an issue.
