Thinking about a Toyota XLE for 43k what do you think

I need a second car to go with my fully loaded 2023 X3. It should be a hybrid and pretty roomy. I don’t want to lose many features compared to my main car.

I got an offer for 43,300 all in for a white XLE with red seats and the technology package. The dealer said they aren’t making any profit and are selling it at the price they paid. I looked at some other cars and it seems dealers in NYC aren’t selling below MSRP because of tariffs and stuff.

What do you think about this?

Will they actually show you the invoice? Just curious.

Not sure, feels a bit too direct to ask.

I get that, but I don’t see how they can sell it to you without making at least 500-600 bucks. What dealer could stay open if they never made any money? No offense, just saying.

@Finch
Sounds like a fair deal, especially with about 4k in taxes and fees included.

I paid 44k out the door for the same car, fully loaded XLE hybrid AWD. Got 1500 off MSRP. Nobody’s giving big discounts these days.

Red seats come with the XSE, not the XLE. The XLE has memory seats for multiple drivers in 2025, but the XSE won’t get that until 2026.

Update for those interested — I bought a Honda CRV Touring Sport (top trim) for 43k all in. Think I got a good deal for right now.
