Check the frame for rust. How’s the condition?

I’ve got the same truck with 238k miles, but I can’t use it anymore because the frame rusted out.

Same here! Mine just hit 280k, but the rust on the frame is why it won’t make it to 300k. These frames are a known issue.

Thanks for the advice. I’m in the high desert of California, so rust isn’t as common as on the coast, but I’ll definitely check it out. Is some surface rust okay? How do I tell if it’s bad enough to weaken the frame?
