@Daryn
Same struggle here. 2024 models are impossible to find.
Wish I had waited and gotten the Outback Wilderness instead of my Forester Wilderness. Same interest rate, but I would’ve been way happier.
Got the ‘25 Outback Wilderness, still under 1k miles, and I’m liking it so far.
Things that bug me:
- Gas mileage isn’t great, but that’s expected with a heavier car and 260hp
- No memory seats, which is annoying
- Still figuring out the manual tailgate to avoid hitting my garage door
- Paint quality isn’t the best (has that orange peel texture)
- The lane keep assist is way too aggressive, almost yanks the car sometimes. I turned it off.
@Marlon
You can adjust the liftgate height in the settings so it doesn’t hit anything.
If you don’t plan on taking it off-road, skip the Wilderness. It’s raised a little, has beefier suspension, and off-road tires. That means worse gas mileage, faster tire wear, and more cabin noise.
If you like the look or need it for snow, then sure, go for it. Otherwise, a Limited might be a better choice.
@FaithJones
Good point. I’m keeping my ‘22 4Runner for off-roading, so I want something different this time. My 4Runner gets terrible gas mileage.
@FaithJones
Yeah, I like the look, but I don’t actually need the off-road features. Just want leather seats and more space than my CrossTrek.
