Thoughts on the 2014 model… is it worth it?

Your car looks way cleaner than my 2014… I can’t help much with the other issue. When I have mine on Bluetooth audio, it stays on the media screen.

Have you tried tapping setup and checking General Settings? There should be an option called Auto Screen Change on the second page. Turning it off might fix the issue.

@LillyGrace
Thank you for the tip

That’s what I’m aiming for…

But when I’m on the interstate, it shows all the exits. Is there a way to shut that off?

@Pip
I’ll check mine in the morning and let you know if I find anything.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

It covers the engine, powertrain, AC and heat, electrical systems, cooling, and more.

Got it

I haven’t needed to use it yet, but the blind spot system has a sensor issue. We’ll see if they take care of that.

I have a 2014 just like that. It’s not as smooth as my old 2006, but I love driving it. I never use the built-in navigation; my screen is usually on radio mode.

I usually have Bluetooth paired. I haven’t used the nav yet, so I’m trying to keep the media screen up.

I recently bought a 2005 Avalon with 84k miles. Any maintenance tips or things I should look out for?

@Baylen
The only issue I had was with a regulator at the spark plugs. I replaced them all along with the plugs.

Thanks! I haven’t had issues with my plugs yet, but I did have to replace an axle. I also worked on the master cylinder, so it should be good when it gets back from the shop.

There’s a setting somewhere in the screen options to keep it on the current display.

Is there a way to keep the media screen up instead of it switching back to navigation?

In my 2011, I disabled it by turning Auto Screen Change off. I’m not sure how similar the 2014 infotainment system is, but for me, it was in Settings under General. I had mine for two years before realizing you could disable it.

@Beckett
Thanks, I’ll try that when I get back in town.

What tint did you choose for the front windows? Can you see well at night? I went with 15% everywhere except the front.
