Thoughts on the new 2026 Toyota RAV4... GR Sport and Woodland models?

Here is a picture of the new 2026 Toyota RAV4, including the GR Sport and Woodland models. What do you all think?

It looks like a Nissan Rogue.

My thoughts exactly.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been talked about more. It looks more like a Rogue to me than a Lexus (which is what others have said).

Most reporters are pointing it out in videos too. I noticed it in the early sneak peeks. Nothing to change it now, sadly.

I hate the outside, but I am loving the inside.

I really do not like the strange little gear shifter and where the drive mode button is placed.

Am I the only one who thinks the last version looked better? Also, it seems like the Woodland version might not even be coming to Europe, which is a bummer (I have only seen it on the Toyota US newsroom). Has anyone heard anything about how much it will cost? I am wondering if the ‘core’ version might be a bit cheaper now that it’s the most basic of the three designs.

@Tristan
I think the old model looks better too, but some reviewers posted on YouTube now. It looks better in those close-up reviews than in these stock photos.

I like the Woodland body updates.

My reaction to the new design is… (Imagine a reaction GIF, possibly one showing surprise or disappointment).

It could be worse, to be honest. I wish they did not get rid of the buttons, though.

My NX is similar because it does not have buttons. I thought I would hate it coming from a 4Runner and Tundra, but honestly I do not really miss them. They are not hidden in some sub-menu. They are always in the same spot, so while you can get used to them, it responds very quickly.

That inside does not look very good to me. The previous generation was better.

This inside is much better in my opinion, haha. I would love to have the new entertainment system over the current generation’s.

Old model price just went up, happy face.

What is going on with the grille on the Woodland? The design just looks really lazy.

Waiting to hear what kind of engines it will come with, hopefully a V6 or a turbo. That small 4-cylinder engine is not good enough for a 50,000-dollar car.

Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) with 226 horsepower for front-wheel drive and 236 horsepower for all-wheel drive, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with 320 horsepower as standard for all-wheel drive.

I am afraid I want the Woodland.
