TRD Pro prices are wild… worth it or nah?

Thinking about getting a TRD Pro… either the 2025 Tacoma, 4Runner, or Tundra. They all cost the same, which is kinda crazy. Anyone got insight on where prices are headed this year? Should I hold off or just go for it?

Toyota decided to price the Tacoma Pro in the mid to upper 60s, and guess what? First time ever we had to discount a Tacoma Pro because:

  1. Nobody is paying $68k for one when they can get a Tundra Pro for about the same price.

  2. It’s way too small. The old Tacoma’s back seat was already bad, but this one? You better not have legs.

@Drue
Base Tacoma barely has a backseat, and the Pro adds like 3 inches of extra space… basically nothing lol.

Yeah, so it’s not great for families AND way overpriced. No wonder they have to discount it.

@Drue
For $60k you can get a fully loaded Silverado, Tundra, or Ram… and I mean REALLY nice ones.

Easiest way to flip a Tacoma buyer is showing them a ‘22-‘23 Tundra TRD Off-Road or Sport Premium for under $50k. It’s an easy sell, especially with the new engines.

And yeah, people sleep on Stellantis. I sell a ton of Rams, all out of warranty, and we hardly ever get complaints.

Those isodynamic seats take up WAY too much space.

Ranger Raptor. I’ve had both a 4Runner and a Tacoma, and if I was buying a midsize off-road truck today, the TRD Pro wouldn’t even be on my list.

Agreed.

If you’re waiting for prices to drop, don’t bother. TRD models always have high demand, so dealers have no reason to lower prices. If anything, they’ll just keep going up.

Bruhhh this TRD Pro I’m looking at is $80k :face_with_spiral_eyes::face_with_spiral_eyes::face_with_spiral_eyes::face_with_spiral_eyes:

@Perry
Check around for dealerships that sell at MSRP and don’t add insane markups.

@Perry
Save yourself $30k and get a ‘24 instead.

I don’t think you thought that one through…

TRD Pro ain’t it. Don’t do it.

Why not?

Yup, people really overlook Stellantis. They have their issues, but I drive Rams and Grand Cherokees all the time at my Toyota store. We buy them off lease, sell them out of factory warranty (with our own warranty), and rarely hear complaints from customers.
