Used car prices are something else nowadays … this one has 127k miles

@Gael
You missed the part where the original car has 127k miles. Most of yours are way lower, and that’s obviously gonna impact the price.

Check this out:

Found some more examples.

Been on the hunt for a used car over a year now. Got it down to a few models and a budget. No rush here, but yeah, I’m looking at Avalons too … some listings are just ridiculous.

Same here … ended up with an ES300h, saved 3k compared to Avalon, paid 15k.

Price is trash … I just picked up a 2016 with 88k miles for $18,700.

Was it a hybrid?

Yep, hybrid limited.

My 2016 Tundra with 86k miles has got to be worth 40k now, right? … lol, I know what I got. /s

I paid $8,300 for a 2007 Avalon with 107k miles … fair price or nah?

If they hit you with ‘I know what I got,’ then yeah, sounds about right :joy:

Miles don’t matter as much now, honestly.

Mileage still affects value … I looked through over 100 cars and even had to go out of state for mine.

So does this mean my 2014 Limited with 160k miles could fetch 15k now? :joy:

Paid 2.5k for my ‘07 Solara with 104k miles back in 2022.

Got an ‘18 Avalon hybrid with 25k miles for 23k 5 months back … and then a guy pulled out in front of me, totaled now  Can’t believe I’ll find another deal like that.

Should be good to get another 127k out of it.

For today’s market, that might not be bad at all … it’s a high trim Avalon, plus hybrid. It’s the miles that make it iffy.

My partner’s car died recently, and we’ve been weighing used vs. new options … like did you know the average Corolla drops a buck per 7.35 miles?

The average I checked was a 2019 LE, 51k miles, around 18k.

Good car … maybe try to knock off 1-2k?

Not sure it’s worth it at just 1-2k off … I’d aim for around 16.5k total.

Bought my 2007 Avalon with 107k miles for 8.3k … is that a bad deal?

Price feels a bit steep to me.
