What happened to the middle speedometer

My 2007 model has the same setup. This made it cheaper to build different versions for markets where the driver’s side can vary.

True, but I can’t lean back as much as I want when the gauge is in front of the wheel, even with the steering wheel adjusted.

Can you adjust the depth of the steering wheel too?

Yes, it’s fine. I had a 2012 Yaris where it was all typical, but I really prefer the speedometer in the center.

I often sit in the back of a Yaris, and that design makes it much easier to see the speed. It helps with the boredom.

Haha that’s true.

I think they put the speedometer in the middle because some places have the steering wheel on the opposite side. That way they could use the same interior panels. I don’t know if that’s true, just a thought.
