It’s for… you know, those exciting moments.
People will spend $20k on mods for off-roading and then ask, ‘What’s this handle for?’ 
Probably for holding on during serious off-roading. It lines up with the passenger side door handle.
It’s for when the passenger holds on for dear life down a rocky trail.
It’s just there to grab.

Same. For some reason, I grab it on turns. Didn’t think I’d like it, but now I do.

My car has those too.
For when the truck rolls, you grab it.
Mine moves the whole center console if I grab it hard. Feels flimsy.
It’s just a grab handle, maybe useful for off-roading.
